Shopper's trivia

"Ideas can be life-changing. Sometimes all you need to open the door is just one more good idea. "

I came across this idea last week when i working with one of my Projects.

How would you feel when you go to a shop and ask for something that is either not available or extremely costly?.

How would you feel when you recently bought something and the next day you find a shop which offers you the same product at a lesser price?

How would you feel when you go to a faraway place to buy something which you do not get at your place and you find the shop closed?

These are few of the moments we come across in our day to day life. To solve this real time issue i came up with a application X. This application X ask the the user the item he/she wants to but Lei it be scissors or even a BMW car.It obtains your current location and start searching for the item in concentric circle. If there are multiple hits the application automatically sorts them in ascending order. Not only that, it is capable of providing directions to the shop and if a particular shop is out of stock,it exclude the shop from the listing.

By using such a application People will know whether and where to buy without much problems. It will help tourists who are not familiar with the language to shop without getting cheated.

More features are yet to be invented.

This is only a idea and is not implemented so far.

  1. This requires collecting information using the stores API which everyone might not have yet, but solution is promising. How about using data mining to predict availability based on previous reviews ?

  2. @Santosh Data Mining to predict availability based on previous reviews will provide you with a statistical report rather than the actual. Though it is a temporary effort im planning to introduce a system which can evolve over the period and provide foolproof data.

    Keep Thinking.
    Have a Nice Day!!!
